Education and the children

hello out there, its been a while. i have been busy looking for the right topic, when my daughter came running to me. She had her school teller. To say the least, the sum almost threw me off balance, and i started to wonder. How do Nigerians manage?
The average Nigerian has so much to deal with, from escalating house bills, to unreliable power, oppression from the authorities and unnecessary political gists that mean nothing to the average man.
I live around a school, and i wish i could say the kids are learning, but sadly they are not. i see them in the market, salon, streets, during school hours, in their uniform.
in those days (1990s) you can get arrested for being late. Now, the police is more interested in okada doing one way, or motor vehicles carrying overload.
i fear for our future generation.
