stay home or working mom

Every now and then, as we grow older as women. The decisions we have to make become more complex, do i stay home to look after the kids, or work, should i hire a nanny, could i get a second degree while nursing my last baby.... the list is endless.
As a new mom, i have tried both, and i must say, each one has its own peculiar troubles. As a stay home mom, i battled with a lot of things, from low self worth to gaining weight. Working on the other hand, has left me with no time, and fewer friends. So to all you moms who are struggling with which way to go, let me lend you a few suggestions.

For the stay home mom's (SAHM)
1. Feel Proud of What You Do: People may not appreciate it, but you would see the difference in your kids when they are older.
2. Keep in Touch with Friends: Doing this would allow for some grown up talk, and release time for you.
3. Get Organized: set aside time for school, socializing and play.
4. Get in Touch with Your creative side: whether its craft, baking, sewing, make sure to harness your creativity at this time, to help for re-entry into the work force

For the working mom
1. Mama Ain’t Happy, Ain’t Nobody Happy :by paying attention to your own needs, you’ll actually be better at meeting everyone else’s.
2. Stress and Sleep Deprivation Make You Fat: stress and sleep deprivation release cortisol into your bloodstream, which triggers fat storage around your waist. Make time to sleep, and excersise.
3 Other People Are Capable, Too. too many working moms fall into the Superwoman trap, thinking we have to be in charge of everything because we’re the only one who will do it right, leave kids with their dad or grandparents sometime during the week, to allow for recharging ourself. At work, see if there’s a junior employee looking to advance to whom you can delegate some tasks. Again, they won’t be completed the way you would, but you’ll have more free time for yourself. You’ll also be mentoring someone who could use the experience.

4. Life Is for Living This is your life, right now. Would you rather spend it rushing around to finish your to-do list, or actually enjoying yourself? And the next time you have some breathing space, don’t fill it with errands. Instead, just breathe.

Being a woman is complex enough, though finding a balance in whichever role you take one can be as simple as following some of these tips. till we see again. Thanks for reading.
